Entities

In the world of Content Management we often use the term content type for content definitions like pages, blogs, events, teams, portfolio, etc. In our docs we also use the term content type. In the code however, we use the term entity.

In Lara CMS an entity is the definition of a content type. It contains all the characteristics of that content type: standard fields, custom fields, use of media, filters, categories, tags, relations with other entities, frontend views, sorting, etc. etc.

The characteristics of all the entities are stored in the database, but they are fully cached for better performance.
