In Lara CMS an *entity* is the definition of a content type. It contains all the characteristics of that content type: standard fields, custom fields, use of media, filters, categories, tags, relations with other entities, frontend views, sorting, etc. etc. The characteristics of all the entities are stored in the **database**, but they are fully **cached** for better performance. --- # Agent Instructions This documentation is published with GitBook.
